John runs research at Refoundable, where he looks for ways to build enduring companies and accelerate progress.

Previously, he worked for a global early-stage venture firm, where he managed regional deal flow and reviewed hundreds of startups.

Before that, he organized and curated several large conferences on technology and new ideas, hosting talks by a wide range of eminent speakers on science, technology, and culture.
